Patelco, a California-based, not-for-profit credit union, revealed that the attackers gained unauthorized access to their systems on May 23. During the attack, a database containing sensitive personal information was stolen. The compromised data includes names, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, Social Security numbers, and email addresses, though the specific details vary for each individual. While Patelco has not officially confirmed the ransomware group responsible for the attack, the RansomHub gang added Patelco to its leak site in mid-August. The group claimed that negotiations had failed and announced it was auctioning the stolen data. RansomHub further alleged that the compromised information includes additional details, such as gender, home addresses, phone numbers, passwords, and credit ratings.
