A critical unauthenticated OS command injection vulnerability in Collabora Online’s built-in CODE Server app for Nextcloud has been assigned CVE-2026-110447, with a CVSS v4 score of 9.2. According to the security advisory GHSA-g3vx-3m76-fghh, published on October 14, 2026, the flaw is classified as CWE-78 and affects the `proxy.php` file in the `richdocumentscode` package. Attackers can exploit a crafted network request to execute operating system commands as the web server user without authentication or user interaction. The advisory credits the discovery to “wwwshellcodeit”. The vulnerability is exploitable when the built-in CODE Server is not running, a condition that may occur after a container restart, software upgrade or crash. Although the CVSS vector identifies attack requirements as present, the flaw has low attack complexity and requires no privileges. Successful exploitation could potentially expose Nextcloud configuration files, database credentials and stored user data, as well as allow unauthorized file modifications and provide a foothold for further attacks. These potential consequences reflect the risks associated with web server-level command execution, rather than specific impacts confirmed by the advisory. All versions of `richdocumentscode` earlier than 26.4.303 are affected. Administrators should immediately upgrade the built-in CODE Server app to version 26.4.303 or later, or remove it entirely if it is unnecessary, as disabling the app alone does not mitigate the vulnerability. Organizations running end-of-life Nextcloud 29 or earlier should upgrade to a supported release or remove the affected app. Standalone Collabora Online servers are not affected. Security teams should review web server logs for suspicious requests to `proxy.php` and investigate unexpected child processes spawned by the web server user, particularly following restarts or crashes. The advisory reports no public exploitation incidents and clarifies that the vulnerability is distinct from CVE-2025-66208.
